Sydney Opera

What is the monument you think of, when you hear "Sydney"? Of course it is the Opera. I took a tour and it was quite interesting. For one, I didn't know that the opera has been designed by a danish architect. Then the project went out of hand (14 times the initial budget and planning 10 years late) and I was wondering what my boss would do, if one of my projects did the same turn...
The opera is actually a place for many types of performances. From music, to theatre, to end-of-school party or even a wedding you can book a room for any kind of activity. They say that the rooms are fully booked but then the newspapers seem to hint that it might become bankrupt..?! An equation which doesn't seem to be solvable.

Beach at Manly

Another day and two ferries brought me to Manly. From my point of view it is a beach resort, with many possibilities to surf and do whatever you do on a beach holiday. The atmosphere is relaxed and I have a stroll around at the beach. My bare feet like to walk in the sand. As they are still sore, I was thinking about spending a few days on a (warm) beach just to relax my feet. I want to come back home with  fully recovered feet!

In the evening, I meet Ines and Lutz at " The Rocks". There is a market going on and a lot of jewelry, decoration, clothes and of course food is for sale. We have a stroll through it, have a dinner and enjoy the evening.
